Back to School Lunch Ideas Your Kids Will Love

There is only one school term left of 2020! Finish off the year with a bang with some of these scrummy school lunch ideas.

The best ingredients for school lunches are quick & easy!

Preparation is key to save time with school lunches. If you are into making your own lunch box treats, bake double batches and freeze some for next week. There are some wonderful recipes out there for healthy and easy sweet treats that your kids will love.

Use old cookie cutters to make shaped fruit or sandwiches. This is a super easy way to add some extra excitement to the lunchbox. You can even cut up a bunch of fruit at the beginning of the week to save time in the hectic school rush. Keep it in a container in the fridge for easy access. Pro tip: use different shapes to avoid food waste.

Make lunches the night before or make multiple at once for the ultimate preparation. We all know how easy it is to become late. Prepping the night before lets you just grab and go!

If you can, involve your kids in the lunch making process. Not only does this build their independence, it gets your kids excited about eating their lunch. No more half-eaten school lunches for you to clean up! This is a great way to introduce responsibility to your little ones.

Don’t forget your rubbish-free lunch box. Many schools encourage students to bring rubbish-free lunches. Dishwasher safe lunchboxes with little dividers make it super easy to avoid needing plastic wrap or foils to keep food contained.
